Yatta!
That’s “I Did It!” in Japanese! Under 200 pounds! Since mid-November, that’s almost exactly a pound a week, every week, for forty weeks. Woot woot!

30 Down
So, this blog site (Sweat 365) has some problems tracking my weight. It hasn’t updated properly since April.
However, I had to write a new milestone: 30 pounds lost since November. That’s the equivalent of a standard propane tank:
That used to be extra weight I was carrying around. 30 down, 9 to go…and beyond!
The pace has been nice and healthy and gradual. I’m at roughly 40 weeks since I decided to make a concerted effort to lose weight. That means I’ve lost about .75 pounds a week. A little slower than I wanted / expected, but it was much faster in the beginning than it has been lately. Thanks everyone for pushing me to get this far; know that I’m super grateful for you and that I hope you stand by me for the next 30

Day 27: Plyometrics
That heart rate is 100% accurate. Plyo killed me today.
I failed my diet in a different way today; I sort of neglected lunch.
// Stop reading if you want to ignore some ranting over a bad day. I would, this is mostly for posterity lol.//
So, my computer is my alarm clock, and decided to crash instead of wake me up. So I miss the workout this morning. After a breakfast of eggs and vegetarian sausage (my new breakfast staple!) I began to feel a little ill. My 2nd roommate (Dustin) has a girlfriend who’s been sick for a while. So I thought “hey, maybe I’m sick with that.” Work was pretty stressful anyway, so I went home at lunch time. I made myself a sandwich and cut it in half (normal for me to spread a sandwich out over two or three hours). No carrots, no rice cakes, nothing for me to have on the side. No biggie, I’ll just deal with the sandwich.
So I drink my Coke Zero and get half way through my sandwich half when I realize the Internet isn’t working. Well, working from home requires an internet connection! So I set off trying to fix that. I call tech support, go through the motions, go to Time Warner HQ to exchange my modem, come back, and Chad mentions our workout. I am feeling 100% better, so we go Plyo, and I’m destroyed. I’m soaking the floor with sweat, and almost slip on it. At one point, I couldn’t really move anymore and didn’t understand why. I started feeling dizzy and recalled that quarter-eaten sandwich on the dining room table from 6 hours ago. I dry heave, and devour a Cliff bar, some chocolate milk, and start troubleshooting my internet connection again, only to be told I have *another* bad modem. At this point, I just want to relax with dinner. I make some fajitas, (whole grain tortilla, lean beef strips
) So I sit down to watch The Incredibles from the file I have on my computer (I rip all the dvds I own, because frankly keeping track of 500 discs is a pain in the ass). My computer restarts, and I nearly throw a fit. After about an hour of driving to calm myself down, here I am, using my fitness blog like a 13 year old girl using MySpace. Whatever. Here’s hoping tomorrow is better.

Day 26: Chest and Shoulders
Almost current!
Core Synergistics and Kenpo came after Yoga, but again, no HRM, and after the fact, so very little I can say. Core Synergistics was tough in a weird way. Being that we cut recovery week, this will be one of only a handful of times we are to do it. It was a lot of stretching, and a lot of balance / rolling type things. Not bad, but I guess I might have just gotten used to the other routine.
Which is why I’m on “The X!,” I guess. It’s all about muscle confusion. For chest and shoulders, you better believe I was confused. Side to side pushups? One handed pushups? Jeez. I’m just happy I can do a couple lol. Oh, and Scarecrows? Hideous.

Day 22: Yoga
Recovery week at last!! We cut recovery week in half so that we could sync up our rest day with Sunday. Also, my heart rate monitor was being wonky this time, and wasn’t reporting my heart rate accurately. This was a hell of a workout, but felt good. I used the yoga block a couple of times, and as a result I bought one for myself
(I was using Chad’s girlfriend’s for a while)

Day 21: Kenpo
Kenpo is Chad’s least favorite workout, I think it might be my favorite after this one. I was super tired, because I’m not used to working out after work. To help out, I was breathing with the movements like a fighter, and vocalized during some of the harder stuff. I think I’m going to make yelling part of my routine with Kenpo
I’ve always secretly wanted to be a drill sergeant!

Day 20: Legs and Back
So, no post for the Fourth of July, but I assure you, Yoga was done
I’m actually getting the hang of Yoga at this point. Legs and Back involves some wall squats which still make me cry out for momma.
Public note: on the Fourth of July, I had an actual, real hotdog, no toppings, on a whole wheat bun. I also had a burger on a whole wheat bun, and about 2 ounces of potato chips. Stayed away from the Lone Star though, and let me tell you, that was a struggle!!
